For the past few years, Scott Montgomery earned a lot of air time on ESPN’s broadcasts of the World Series of Poker. His fifth place finish in the 2008 WSOP main event was a result of interesting Referral Code Full Tilt play and a wicked bad beat, but a hefty winning of $3,096,768 would eventually ease some of the disappointment caused by not winning that desired bracelet. The last few years have been filled with miniature scores for Montgomery. Two basically mini-cashes in 2009 were followed up by two more this year, but Montgomery would break through in a big way, winning his first bracelet in Event 36, $1,000 no-limit hold ‘em.
The fourth $1,000 incentive special of the 2010 WSOP Full Tilt Poker Download featured 3,102 players and a prize band of $2.7 million. The first-place prize of $481,760 wasn’t anywhere in close proximity to his main event payout, but this time around, the bracelet make sure there is no disappointment.
